Northern Schools Robosumo Cup

Every year St Anthony's (Padua Campus) organises a Lego Robotic Competition with St Bendict and St Clare's. This year to assist the competition 15 Year 9 students from Assisi campus attended as technicians to help the primary school students with connecting, and problems with coding. The events were a treasure hunt, demolition derby, Sumo code and design defensive/offensive attachments, School sumo challenge and Interschool RoboSumo Cup.

Robotics Club

Using a design centered approach, the Club allows interest and compeitions with guidance to develop a programmable mindset, in Robotics Challenges. Over the last 2 years, students from Years 7-9 meet weekly to fortnighly, using Spike Robotics Kits to generate and solve challenges like a Sumo Challenge.

Robo Rave

As a Gateway to Industry school partner (GISP), we take 8 to 12 students to participate in a Robo Rav (Lego Robotics) workshop and competition at Cathedral School. We are joined with students from the following schools, Cathedral, Ignatius Park, St Margaret Mary's, Kirwan High.

Bionic Hand Workshop

As a Gateway to Industry school partner, (GISP), we took 4 students to an Bionic Hand workshop. Students from other GISP schools attended (Cathedral, Ignatius Park, St Margaret Mary's, Kirwan High). In this workshop students explored how robotics and automation can impact the world of ICT and Manufacturing and learnt the fundamental skills to create a bionic hand.

Digi-Tech Accessability Workshop

As a Gateway to Industry school partner (GISP), SACC hosts a workshop organised by ICT GISP. An Assistive Technology Developer uses technologies and new inventions to make life easier for people with disabilities. Students who are interested in technology, STEM, computers, programming or inventing will engage with local employers and develop new tech and collaboration skills alongside an experienced instructor. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students, Culturally or Linguistically Diverse students and students with a disability are encouraged to learn new tech skills at this free workshop in a fun and encouraging environment. As the host we are able to have 8 students attended. The following schools also attend. St Margaret Mary's, Kirwan High, Cathedral and Ignatius Park.
