Assisi Sport

The St Anthony’s Sports Program allows students to experience a culture that values sportsmanship and diversity; while promoting the necessary life-long learning skills of confidence, respect, resilience and perseverance. We value inclusiveness and appreciate the contribution of everyone and encourage all students to be involved, regardless of their ability. Sport is a great way for people to form new friendships, develop confidence in themselves and most importantly, enjoy what they are doing.

This year will again be a massive year of sport, with students involved in swimming carnivals, cross country and athletics carnivals; interschool sports such as football, netball, volleyball, basketball, touch football and rugby league. Furthermore, St Anthony’s will be involved in carnivals such as the NQ Netball Cup, Burdekin & Charters Towers Netball Carnivals, QSSIN Netball, NQ & QLD All-Schools Touch and Confraternity for Rugby League. These carnivals are something we believe give our students a fantastic opportunity and we will strive to continue to participate competitively in.
